In the early 1970ies, ETA lauched their final movement series of 7 3/4 sized movements. Their variations ranged from a simple handwinding movement with 21600A/h (ETA 2640) to the high-beat selfwinding movement with day and date (ETA 2678).
From this series originates this caliber ETA 2651, a slow-beating movement with axle beared rotor and date display. It is a direct relative of the ETA 2671, which is still produced today and only differs on the beating frequency and the ball-bearing of the rotor.
