PUW 1075E

Description

The PUW caliber 1075E is a common ladies' watch form movement of the usual size of 5 1/2 lignes. It was since the mid 1960ies one of the successors of the PUW 74. Since it passed the official quality checks in 1967, you can assume, that it appeared in the mid 1960ies.

The only differences between this movement and its precessor PUW 74 are the faster beating rate of 21600 A/h and the cap jewels for the escape wheel bearings.

The three leg annular balance on the specimen shown here is beared in two Incabloc shock protection bearings.

It seems, like this movement was available in two versions, one with distinct mainspring barrel bridge and one, like displayed here, only with one single bridge, which coveres gear train and mainspring barrel.

On the dial side, you see the yoke winding system and the cap jewel of the escapement wheel. The housing of the cap jewel is a bit odd, since it offers space for a second cap jewel, but that space is not used.
