Description
In the mid sixties, Citizen launched the medium-sized selfwindig caliber series 65, which contained the movements 6000.
The caliber 6501 is shown here; it contains a ball-beared rotor, which winds in both direction and a spring-less ratched mechanism. The large Glucycur balance is pivoted in the inhouse Parachoc protection system.
All gears are located under one single plate, which makes servicing works a little difficult.
The date changes slow over almost two hours, but it can be quickset in the middle crown position.
