Description
A very well proven construction is the base for the DuRoWe 1285, on which the base plate diameter was increased to 11 1/2 lignes.
As expected, the execution is very well, so for example all important bearings contain rubies.
In the 1960s, the proven gear train with directly driven center minute wheel, beared under an own cock, was still widely used.
The other construction details of the gear train are proven standard, too: The minute wheel is followed by the third wheel, directly driven center seconds wheel and escape wheel, made of steel.
The two-leg anular balance was pretty modern. It was beared under two inhouse Duroswing shock protections and beats with 18000 which can be regulared on the hairspring key only despite the scale on the balance cock.
Of course, a swiss pallet lever escapement was used.
The calender mechanism, of which on the specimen shown here the driving wheel at position 11 o’clock is missing, is a bit elaborate constructed with two locking lever and (happy to fly) springs and a switching wheel.
By turning the hands back and forth between 8pm and midnight, the calender can be advanced semi-fast.
The levers and springs of the calendar mechanism are covered by a large plate.
Besides this, on the dial side, you can spot the Duroswing shock protection and the yoke winding system.

Timegrapher result
Very well rates for such an used movement. The rates might be a little to low, since the lift angle is unknown. With a lower beat rate, this movement would achieve even better results.
