Elektronika 2651

Description

The Elektronika 2651, a Russian LED quartz movement, was produced until the 1990s.

With only four digits and a 3V power supply using two LR43 batteries, it offered only the bare minimum of features.

The version presented here is the third and therefore most recent iteration.

It could display hours (24-hour format) and minutes, as well as the day and the numerical(1) day of the week.

Two buttons controlled the display (top right: time, bottom right: day/day of the week), and two recessed buttons, also on the right side, were used to set the time.

Because the module cannot be opened without damaging it, there are not many pictures of it.

As can be seen on the dial side from the very small quartz crystal, the third version (with imprint B6-03 III) was already relatively modern, but nevertheless, by the end of the 1980s, it was at least 10 years outdated.
