Description
The FE 233-70A is directly related to the caliber 233-60.
The rest of the construction is identical; the 233-70A uses a ring balance, which is beared in two Antichoc 102 shock protection systems, beats with only 18000 A/h and regulates a traditional pallet anchor movement. This movement would offer the ability for a decentral second indication at position “6”, but on the specimen shown here, it is not used.
The day and weekday indications change slowly, starting at 11pm with the weekday, but finishing first at 12am with the day. On turning back the time, the weekday can be turned back, too, but the day cannot be decreased. This makes it possible to detach the weekday from the date and allows a semi-fast correction of the date. Correcting the weekday though requires lots of turns of the crown, which is not optimal for any movement.
