Description
The FEF 6686 cannot deny its relationship to the caliber 400, but of course, it was moderized with a three-leg ring balance, which is secured in two KIF Satellor shock protection systems and beats with 21600 A/h. The hairspring is connected to a moveable stud and can be adjusted with a short regulator. A long regulator arm is no longer used. On the other side, this movement impresses by using chatons for the jewels, and one of them even contains a cap jewel. This is a detail, which is not often found on standard watches.
The construction of this movement is rather high due to its directly driven center second hand and the also centered minute wheel. At the beginning of the 1970ies, when this movement became available, such a construction was pretty outdated.
The FEF 6686 has got a date indiction which advances slowly and can be corrected semi-fast.
