Description
The Kienzle caliber 051/00f is a very typical Kienzle pin lever movement without jewel bearings.
The ring balance uses a pointed staff and therefor lacks a shock protection. Since the balance cock has to be adjusted perfectly in height, Kienzle uses a quite ingenious and funny construction: A small screw on the balance cock bends(!) it to the required height.
The rest of the movement is pretty standard for Kienzle: A simple pin lever escapement (without jewel pins), a small decentral second hand and a rocking bar winding mechanism on the dial side.
