Description
In the relevant movement finders you will find it right on the first pages the tiny 6-ligne (13.25mm diameter) Lip R100 windup movement from France, which debuted in the 1960s.
Particularly characteristic is besides its comparatively huge bearing jewels the geometric design of the gear train bridge.
Of course, with such a tiny movement, all bearings contain rubies, with the exception of the minute wheel bearing on the dial side.
Like on the common tiny tonneau ladies' watch movements, a multi-storey construction is used, where the escapement wheel is below the bearings of fourth wheel and third wheel.
With directly driven center minute wheel followed by third wheel and fourth wheel, and finally the relatively large steel escape wheel, the R100 follows the current standard.
A swiss pallet anchor escapement is used as the escapement.
Its two-leg anluar balance is already screwless. It beats comparatively fast with 21600 half-oscillations per hour, which can only be adjusted directly on the regulator hand.
Thanks to two Incabloc bearings, the balance staff is sufficiently shock protected.
Inserting the balance wheel poses a small challenge, since the minute wheel reaches right up to the balance cock, and the hairspring has to be threaded under the minute wheel.
On the dial side you can see the yoke winding system at 3 o’clock and the Incabloc bearing at 9 o’clock and compared to the diameter a huge cap jewel of the escapement wheel bearing.
