Poljot 3133
Description
In the 1970ies, the swiss movement factory Valjoux sold their machines, which once produced the chronographe caliber 7734 into the USSR, to Poljot, which used them to produce their chrongraph movement, called 3133. Most of the parts are identical and regarding the quality, this movement is quite OK.
The movement used a coulisse lever system, which results in a quite inprecise feeling of the buttons and the jumping of the chronographe second hand at start. Different that on then Valjoux 7734 movement, all chronograph related gears run in jewels, and the Glucydur balance swings in a Poljot-own shock protection system. The balance is of a smaller diameter, which makes it faster beating (21600 A/h).
The Poljot 3133 has got a date quickset mechanism, which work by turning back the hands to 23:00 and advancing them to midnight.
