Description
One of the early form movements of the Pforzheimer Uhrenrohwerke is the PUW caliber 49. It already contains seventeen jewels, among them two cap jewels for the anchor wheel, and a shock protected screw balance. Other versions don’t use cap jewels and a shock protection system and therefor only contain 15 jewels.
On the dial side, there’s the yoke winding system, which turns the minute wheel by two gears. This construction is pretty interesting and rare, since it makes the time turn back when turning the crown forward clockwise.
