Description
The PUW caliber 74 is a common ladies' watch form movement with a size of 5 1/2 lignes. It was the successor of the PUW 73.
Video on YouTubeThe only difference between the PUW 73 and 74 is, that the latter one has got a moveable hairspring stud for adjusting the beat error of the balance.
Everything else remained unchanged, the beat rate (18000 A/h), the number of jewels (17, with non ruby-beared minute wheel and cap jewels for the escapement wheel bearings) and the escapement system (swiss pallet lever).
The three leg annular balance is of course shock protected, in the specimen shown here for example in two KIF Ultraflex bearings.
On the dial side, you see the yoke winding system (identical to its predecessor) as well as the cap jewel of the escapement wheel bearing (at 9 o’clock) and one of the two KIF Ultraflex shock protection bearings.
