Description
Rego (Lapanouse) was a manufacturer, which offered a vast variety of Roskopf type pin lever movements.
The large (it has got a diameter of 12 lignes) Rego 153 from then 1950s is a pillar construction of Roskopf type with a center seconds indication and it was equipped with 15 jewels, which was unusual for a Roskopf movement.
On the base plate, you can see the U-shaped cutout for the lever bearing. Like on every Roskopf movement, you can adjust the depthing of the lever pins by bending the bearing - a rather quirky way.
The gear train construction reminds of a Roskopf movement: The mainspring barrel, which is open on the upper side, drives the second wheel, followd by third wheel, directly driven center seconds wheel and finally the steel escape wheel.
A directly driven center seconds wheel is unusual for a true Roskopf movement, so, this Cimier movement was already pretty advanced.
You can also spot the yoke keyless works.
As escapement, a pin pallet escapement is used and the screw-less anular balance is beared in two inhouse Palierfix shock protections.
Like every Roskopf movement, the mainspring barrel contains the double hand-driving gear on its upper side, attached with a slipping clutch.
The lower, larger wheel drives the cannon pinion and the minute hand, the upper, smaller one the hour hand.
This construction requires no additional reduction gear between minute- and hour wheel.
On the dial side, you can spot again the yoke winding system of the Rego 153.
