Slava 2356

Description

In 1985, the Second Moscow Watch Factory (Slava) launched its extra-flat (only 2.1mm high!) quartz movement, caliber Slava 2356, which was produced until 2003.

With a Lavet stepping motor and shielded coil, it was state-of-the-art from the very beginning, and the execution, featuring a total of 8 jewels, was also pretty well.

It already uses a modern, small tuning fork quartz (8805 likely refers to the production date, 5th calendar week of 1988) and a trimmer capacitor for precise adjustment to 32,768 Hz.

gear train

The flat gear train has no special features; it consists of the rotor, a reduction and transmission wheel, the directly driven center seconds wheel, and the third wheel, which drives the motion work on the dial side.

The crown mechanism with clutch and setting lever spring is not located on the dial side of this movement, but on the movement side.

At 10 o’clock you can see the pinion into which the minute wheel, equipped with a slip clutch, engages.

To save height, there are recesses on the motherboard for the battery, the coil of the Lavet stepper motor and the quartz.
