This surprise donation from Egon is a Timex Perpetual Calendar, a quartz watch from the 1990ies, whose date indication doesn’t work manually, but is driven by a small motor. Because of this, the date is always correct, even on months with less than 31 days.
Unfortunately, the mechanism became broken, and the long-lasting battery was also dead, but even with a new battery and an attempt to re-program the calendar mechanism did not cure it.
Since the movement contains many plastic parts and could be dismatled wihtout damage, no movement photos can be provided. Additionally, quartz movements are, except the very first ones, outside the scope of the movement archive.
