With Josef M. Stadl, President of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Chronometrie (German Society for Chronometry) there was a very nice correspondence and a great support of the Archives in the form of a handful of PUW movement from the last mechanical and first quartz series, exactly those movements, which are very difficult to get.

There was also valuable information about the Pforzheimer Uhrenrohwerke, so that in near future, the manufacturer page of the PUW can be expanded with the corresponding historical information - as the first manufacturer page in the archive!

Furthermore, for the broken Bifora 2025 in the archive was provided an escape wheel and a DuRoWe 261 will soon enrich the archive, too.

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Chronometrie (German Society for Chronometry) has set itself the goal of gaining knowledge of the subject of clocks and timekeeping to preserve, expand and disseminate. Especially the German ebauche manufacturers such as Bifora, DuRoWe, Förster, Guba, Hermann Becker, Junghans, Kasper, Kienzle, Otero or PUW are in the focus of Mr. Stadl’s interests.

In January 2024, there was another, interesting package with some new or now running movements for the archive:

Thank you very much for the great support of the movement archive!
