Intex 1057 SCD

Description

In the early 1960ies, Intex released their caliber series 1057, which carried a broad span of movements, from a simple manual wind movement to a selfwindig movement with calendar. All under the same caliber number. For their distinction, the Flume names, which carry the features, are used.

The base plate looks, like it is decorated with an interesting stripes finish, but most it is not a true decoration, but the traces of the routing for the gear train.

You see very well, that all gears, even the minute wheel, are ruby beared. The only non ruby beared wheel is the mainspring barrel.

As usual that time, this movement has got a minute wheel cock. This construction allowes a directly driven minute wheel as well as a directly driven center second.

The click mechanism is located on the movement side, as in all better movements.

The screw-less annular balance is beared in two Farr shock protection systems and beats slowly with 18000 A/h. It regulares a conventional pallet lever movement.

On the dial side, you see the typically shaped setting lever angel, as well as the yoke winding system.

There are two cap jewels for the lever(!)- and the escapement wheel bearing. Together with two cap jewels on the movement side (escapement wheel and third wheel), which are missing on the specimen shown here, this movement comes to a total of 21 jewels.
