Description
With diameter of only 5 3/4 lignes (13.4mm), the Movado 6 is one of the smallest round movements ever made.
The beautiful, completely perlaged (and not only, where visible) base plate shows already the high quality of this movement.
No less impressive are the three Chatons of the gear train bridge, into which the three visible bearings are inserted.
The gear train follows the great impression of this movement:
The mainspring barrel is also perleage decorated on both sides and the gears have beveled inner edges.
The construction is typical for a movement if this size with a directly driven center minute wheel, third wheel, seconds wheel and steel escape wheel.
For reasons of space, the lower bearing of the seconds wheel is locate above the escape wheel, a two-storey construction.
The tiny two-leg Glucydur screw balance looks very nice with its golden color. It beats already with 21600 A/h and regulates a swiss pallet lever movement. Besides this, it is beared in two Incabloc shock protections.
On the dial side, you can see the Incabloc bearing as well, as a cap jewel for the escape wheel. On the right, there’s the yoke winding system, which can be expected for a movement of this high quality.
The four digit embossed serial number tell us, that this movement seems to be made only in low quantities.
