In February, there was the opportunity to introduce the movement archive interested members of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Chronometrie during their “Watch Talk” series.
Apart from valuable feedback, right after the talk, there was the donation by Christian, which contained a broken Junghans J28 (Junghans 628.00). Since, in the mean time almost forgotten, there’s already another broken J28 caliber in the archive, with different faults, the chances are high, that by merging the two broken calibers, one running caliber will come out.
A nice easter surprise was the second package.
It contained a working(!) Molnija pocket watch with the caliber Molnija 3602, which was before only in defective condition in the archive. Further his first kids watch, an Anker (here from Otto-Versand) with the well-known UMF 24-30 from 1981 in perfect condition and a special goodie a not yet identified skeleton, real(!) tourbillon movement from china with a single mainspring barrel and 28800 A/h.
As soon, as the movements are officially added to the archive and documented, they will be linked from here, too.
