Christoph Reiner, who is better known as “EMESUhren” in the german Uhr-Forum is connected since generations with EMES, the former manufacturer of Schwenningen, Germany. On a visit of the former manufactury, he was able so save some movements (which were unfortunately harmed by a former bulglary into the manufactury) and donated two of them to the movement archive.
The EMES 12 (left) was made by EB (Ebauches Bettlach) and the EMES 18a is a french movement, made by Parennin.
The next donation was an EB-8461-74:
In January 2019 he made another great contribution with seven movements / watches:
This contribution contained the EMES caliber 17 and 17a, which both are based on the Parrenin 660 and other watches with cylinder, windup lever- and selfwinding movements.
The other movements will described in detail soon.
