Description
The movement displayed here measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 lignes, originates from Switzerland and is of a very high quality. It has got a bimetal screw balance, was regulated in three positions and is nicely decorated, especially on the dial side:
The shape of the main plate and the shape of the setting lever spring very much reminds of a Villerei Caliber 10, but neither the name “Nivia” nor the number “529” on the dial side support this theory.
On the inner side of the dial, there’s the following signature:
This movement was used in that unmarked swiss ladies' watch:
