Description
The EB 8341 is with a diameter of only 7 lignes (the official measurings are even only 6 3/4 lignes) a very small pin lever movement with a number of constructive oddities:
The non shock secured balance, more precisely the hairspring, is connected to a very unusually shaped movable stud. The pin lever is adjustable, too, the mainspring can be removed by just removing one screw and the complete winding mechanism is located below the plates!
As you can easily see, all these measures are very interesting in a constructive way, but for a watchmaker they are a nightmare, especially, since the movement builds pretty high and is made in pier construction.
On the 17 jewels specimen shown here, the balance axle is broken due to the missing shock protection.
