Description
After the first module Timex M281, in 1978 already, Timex released their second version of LCD quartz modules, which were so mature and modern, that they don’t have a real collectors value any more, although they are from the 1970s.
Unfortunately, it is is plastic-welded and so cannot be disassembled without damage.
It was significantly less high building than its predecessor, but offered the same functions, the display of hour and minute, of seconds, of day and month and a display light.
There were no more rotatable buttons, for setting the time, you had to press a recessed button.
On the dial side, a simple metall mask was used, which realized the at the same time the connected to the housing contact surfaces of the contacts converts.
Interestingly, this module was, unlike the other (quartz-) movements of Timex no longer made in Taiwan.
